South Somerset Area Finals....

The South Somerset Area Finals for years 3/4 and 5/6 took place at the Bill Whistlecroft Athletics Arena in Yeovil on Tuesday 19 May 2015. 30 teams competed in a very fiercely fought competition.
A bleak weather forecast threatened the event but after a couple of light rain showers, the skies over the track were bathed in bright sunshine although it remained rather windy!
The event was supported by Yeovil College Students who ran both the events.
The teams all competed with much enthusiasm and there were many superb performances. Well done to all the athletes who took part!
The top 3 teams in Year 3/4 were:
Keinton Mandeville, Norton & Hambridge
The top 3 teams in Year 5/6 were:
Norton, Ash & Curry Rivel.
The top 2 teams in each age group will now represent South Somerset at the School Games Finals on the 2nd July at Millfield School.
Many thanks to SGO Steve Gass for a well organised competition, to all the Yeovil College Students and their Lecturer Andy Roda who did a fatastic job of running both competitions, and to the teachers and parents for their support.
